Happy Holidays!

ROLLING MEADOWS, IL, Dec., 14, 2009 - (by Pam Vincent) As the year comes to an end, Tom and I have been reflecting on this past year and making assumptions of what the next few years will bring to CRE. I have been looking at the photo Tom took on New Year’s Eve a couple of years ago when we were surprised by a heavy snowfall – it actually looked blue! Looking at the photo helps me realize we have a lot to be thankful for this year and instead of fretting about what the new year will bring, I will look forward to new challenges.

snowy_scene_lgOne thing we have learned this past year is that traditional marketing is no longer enough. We need to expand our horizons and try new approaches. We are relatively new to the phenomena of social media and being a bit older, are finding it challenging BUT we are learning. With the excellent assistance of our social media guru, I have learned much and am attempting to try new avenues and approaches to marketing. One of our new approaches is to advertise a selected property on YouTube. I do have a question, though. What other avenues are open to bring our marketing efforts to a larger audience? Have any of you had success in using social media to market your business? I am sure we all would love to hear about successes and failures so we can all learn together. Visit our last post and tell us your stories.

Tom and I wish you all a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and great hopes for the coming New Year. We’ll be back in a month or so – time enough to face the New Year!!!
